Our story

French Pâtisserie for everyone

Our journey began with several years of study, a Diploma in Catering & Hospitality, apprenticeships and honing our skills in prestigious restaurants in the South of France. (that’s where we met ❤︎)

It wasn’t until our thirst for exploration landed us in New Zealand, turning what was meant to be a year of adventure into six, (thank you serendipity!). With fond memories from our road trip to Taranaki, we decided to settle here and when the opportunity to share our craft arose with a commercial kitchen, we knew it was meant to be.

Our name stems from the first syllables of our names: Mathieu and Tiphaine, symbolising the unity and joy we bring to our craft.

Established in December 2023, our New Plymouth based pâtisserie is a testament to French savoir-faire, authenticity, and the joy of sharing gourmet delights. We aim to infuse a little happiness into your everyday life with our creations, fostering conviviality and the enjoyment of simple pleasures. Because “la vie est belle” right ?!
